My secret life begins around 7 p.m. What would the "boss" think if she knew that I had this other secret life after she has gone to bed? During this time, I do things like play "Guitar Hero" and "Settlers of Catan." For all she knows, I spend a few minutes cleaning up after her and then go to bed myself. At least this is what I tell her and so I assume she thinks this much. But, when she screams out or cries in the middle of the night, I think she may be onto my secret life. I better be more quiet about my secret life and not be too loud in having fun without her.
Welcome to the World of Naomi
Where she is boss of all...at least I let her think she is.
Happy 2nd Birthday!
Time to make a wish...
Ice Cream
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!
I'm the boss!

Read, read and read some more
Reading is important for your child's developmental growth...that's what the experts say. But, here's my question: Can too much reading be detrimental? I mean, for me. I have forgotten what it's like to read literature that has a plot and depth to it. I spend all my time reading Dr. Seuss' ABC book and can recite by heart, Goodnight Moon. Is that something I should be proud of? Or should I delete this post immediately and pretend I have never admitted this confession? I think Naomi is getting smarter and I am getting dumber. Perhaps this is her master plan...to gain full control. Oh no!
Who's the boss?
I often wonder who's the boss here? As much as I would like to tell myself that I'm the boss, I find myself being bossed around (nicely, of course) by a 20 month old. It's amazing that I am being allowed to even type this in peace. Well...that isn't entirely true. She is currently asking me to put her shoes on and I have ran into her room several times to retrieve books, fallen toys and stuck babies before sitting down. Okay...so much for the typing this in peace. Duty calls and I am skeptical I shall ever be the boss again.
